Overview
Stewarding
Stewards are the people your visitors actually talk to. They answer questions, direct people to seats, keep gangways clear and are the first to notice when pressure builds somewhere. Their work decides whether an event is remembered as pleasant or chaotic.
We handle access control at events, maintain safety and order across the event area and support crowd flow management. Our stewards are approachable and assertive at once.
Situation and risks
What goes wrong with stewarding is usually a question of numbers and briefing:
- Too few staff at bottlenecks. Pressure builds where routes narrow – stairs, doors, gangways.
- Unbriefed staff. Someone who does not know the venue cannot give directions or keep a route clear.
- Blocked escape routes. The most common finding in official inspections.
- No reporting route. A steward sees a problem but does not know who to tell.
- Pack-down without cover. Visitors are still present after the end – and staff have often already left.
Our approach
We provide stewards in the number the venue requires – not the number that happens to be available. Before duty begins there is an on-site briefing: routes, escape routes, medical post, responsibilities, reporting route.
On duty our staff handle entry, ticket checks, seating, keeping escape routes clear, information and crowd flow. In conflicts they de-escalate first; only if that does not hold is the operations lead brought in.
Stewarding usually complements a security concept under event security. Both from one provider saves you coordinating between two.

Why Secure Concept
Why Secure Concept
We train our stewards on what makes the difference: staying friendly when somebody is impatient, and still being able to say no. And we stay to the end – the last visitors do not leave the site alone.
Frequently asked questions
Frequently asked questions
Stewards mainly handle entry, information, crowd flow and keeping escape routes clear. Security officers are deployed where further qualification is needed – access control with conflict potential, backstage areas, or an elevated risk picture. Most events need a mix; we propose the split in the concept.
