Overview
Event security
You can tell a successful event by the fact that nobody talks about security. That is exactly the goal: a concept guests do not notice, because routes work, entry moves quickly, and in an incident it is immediately clear who does what.
We support events of all sizes – company celebrations, trade fair appearances, concerts, town festivals. The effort required depends not on visitor numbers alone but on the type of event, the venue, alcohol service, the profile of guests and the escape routes available.
Situation and risks
Most problems at events come from planning errors, not violence:
- Congestion at entry. Too few checking lanes create crowding outside the site – where nobody is responsible.
- Blocked escape routes. The drinks stand that was moved "just for a moment" in the evening.
- Unclear responsibility. Organiser, technicians, medical service and security have never met.
- No abort scenario. Nobody has decided who stops the event and how that is communicated.
- Alcohol and late hours. Conflicts cluster in the final two hours, when staffing has often already been reduced.
Our approach
We start with a site visit and a risk assessment: how many visitors, which entrances, which escape routes, which neighbourhood, what is being served. From that comes the deployment plan – entry, interior, stage area, exterior, backstage.
Before the event you receive a written procedure: who stands where, who is reachable on which number, what happens in the event of overcrowding, a medical emergency, weather, or an abort. On the day, an operations lead is available throughout – for you and for the authorities.
We work closely with medical services, fire service and local authorities where they are involved. Our stewards additionally handle crowd flow (see stewarding).

We will tell you before accepting if the planned number of staff is too low for your venue. That is uncomfortable, but better than an event that has to be stopped. Equally, we will not propose posts that achieve nothing.

Frequently asked questions
The number does not follow from visitor numbers alone. What matters is the venue, the number of entrances, bottlenecks such as stairs and doors, alcohol service and the type of event. There are often additional official requirements. We determine the number during the site visit and justify it in the quote.
As early as possible, ideally once the date and venue are fixed. For smaller events a few weeks is often enough. For larger events involving the authorities the security concept should be in place several months ahead, as it can form part of the permit. We still review short-notice requests – call us in that case.
